Argh, darn ye, FFNet - somehow, it seems to know when my mojo is maxed and chooses that point to crash. Oof. Either there's a conspiracy afoot, or I had a little too much coffee at some point.

I'm glad to know that folks out there are interested to see me put more time into the idea, and now I definitely will. Of course, I still have priority on Gunmetal, but I like to think of this little newbie as a bit of fun, less serious business, and something to fall back on when I hit a block. Having some inspiration going is better than being dead and stuck altogether. So I two-time (with several little oneshot flings on the side), but they forgive me for it. Perhaps it's a good thing I don't actually have a wife...

Anyway, keep letting me know what you think, folks! I especially need help in realistic con experiences (YouTube only goes so far).

Found that phrase in this comic, liked it, then reminded myself of it a few times over before allowing myself to type anything else.

Some days, I just get in a mood for being angsty. Others, thoughtful. Even others, funny (I love this one most, too). All I really regret, though, is that I originally intended to write something for Toothpaste Addict (this thing).
I had Yuffie, I had high school, I had the steamy locker room, and I had Leon marching in and declaring his undying love to Cloud. What I did not have was some way to continue. Better luck next time, yet again. *face, meet palm. Have lunch sometime*

Taking one more moment to talk a bit about Chapter 11 of Gunmetal: I was exhausted when I wrote it, and exhausted after I wrote it. Surprisingly, I did better than when I attempted it at 100% battery power with external supply. Somehow, the sleep deprived mind seems more capable than one hyped on caffeine, but I won't ever vouch for it. Sufficient sleep will always be my favorite idea before attempting to write anything on this planet.*
I'm aware that I won't have the next chapter out as quickly as even I would like. I like to say I know what I'm doing, but I've yet to meet a human who truly did, the full 100%. Either way, I really hope to get my dirty fingers into it as soon as I am both physically and mentally able.** ***

On a side note, I've spent a lot of time with "research"**** on Dissidia Final Fantasy, preparing myself for a concept I have on my desktop in a notepad document. While I have the character designs and the chapter briefs for everyone except VIII, III, VI, I, XI and XII, I don't intend to publish anything until I finish conceptualizing and get down to actually writing it. Whenever that happens, I only hope it works.

I embarrass myself in forgetting I have an LJ account not once, but twice...! After having to renew my password once more, I realize I seriously need to put this journal to use if I want to remember its existence.

Plans for this guy in the future: updates that I won't be putting on dA or FFNet; while it will mostly be about my current pet fan series Gunmetal, I will also include information about any delays/procrastination that I can see coming from a mile away, as well as tidbits of stuff that I come up with now and then.

I can't believe I'm back here after what, two years? Between back then and now, I still can't find my way around this place worth two turtles in the Hoover Dam...!

Two years ago, I first joined LJ out of curiosity (and also to submit bits of fan fiction for the manga series Bleach). I got lost. Very lost. So lost, my biggest accomplishment was posting a journal entry (as for submissions, I needed a lot of help). Now, even as I type this, it's like pulling out what's left of my teeth; for a man who has seen much and done much, I feel ten years old and lost in a new chapel all over again.

But I'm here again. Nervous enough to lose my composure and rant, sure, but I'm here. It's pointless to ignore LJ forever; not when almost everyone in first-world status and their uncles have LJ accounts.

Well, it's time to pull up my pants and take this hardest step forward - I did it for dA, I can do it here...again!

Wish me luck, guys, and please keep your patience with me while I figure all these things out slowly, as only out-of-touch old people can.
